The method
How Air Duct Cleaning Works Here
Air duct cleaning takes the dust and debris out of your home's supply and return lines and carries it out of the house, so none of it settles back into your rooms.
In a proper cleaning, a truck-mounted vacuum is hooked to the main trunk line at the air handler and the registers are sealed, which puts the whole duct system under "negative air pressure". An air whip then runs down each line and knocks the buildup loose from every side, and the suction draws it out to the truck. The trade calls this "source removal", as against a quick "blow and go" that only stirs the dust around.
